ooooh, pretty!
I would have never guessed all that was in Tejas.

Have you never been to Galveston? Well, then again, I've never been to D/FW.

i have never heard of this place! it looks lovely. thanks so much for sharing. it's now on my list of in-state trips to make.
I sure have, but not since grade school. I used to live down there in Baytown.
[this is good]
My parents live in Houston ... I love going to the pyramids at Moody Gardens. :) My favorite part is seeing all the African violets they have growing out of the rocks. :)
As much as I love all the beautiful plants, I spend most of my time looking at the animals. It's different from being at the zoo, maybe because of the environment. A couple of years ago we took my nephew, and we followed a giant sloth around the Rainforest Pyramid. The proximity was amazing. Granted, he was high above us, but we weren't separated by glass walls or even fences. Had he decided to, he could have come straight down to us. When you see them in pictures or on television, they don't seem like beautiful animals, but being in the pyramid with him was a great experience.
OK, why have I never seen a sloth there?? I feel gipped.
lol, We didn't see him when we went back last year. Every year my nephew spends at least a month with my parents since he lives in Arizona, and there's always something there to interest him. At first it was the dinosaur exhibits, but now that he's getting older he likes the science and aquarium ones.
